"The Complete Works Of William Shakespeare"

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced today the 2015/2016 season of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.” This season marks the fourth of a five-year artistic collaboration presenting all of William Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” is produced and directed by Shakespeare Dallas, under the leadership of Executive and Artistic Director Raphael Parry. This series is made possible through the generosity of the Mankoff Family Foundation.

“It’s been a labor of love working with Shakespeare Dallas to present every one of the Bard’s works in five years,” said Doug Curtis, president and CEO of the AT&T Performing Arts Center. “It’s exciting, and we’re proud to play a role in presenting some of the best words ever put to paper.”

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” will be presented in monthly staged readings in Hamon Hall at the Winspear Opera House and the Studio Theatre at the Wyly Theatre in the Dallas Arts District.

“As we embark on our 4th season of these masterworks, I am thrilled to share uncut versions of plays like Hamlet and Macbeth,” said Raphael Perry, Executive and Artistic Director of Shakespeare Dallas. “Along-side these Titan works we have rarely seen plays by Shakespeare. We are looking forward to sharing this unique experience with the community.”

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” utilizes a staged reading format with simple props, lighting and costumes to keep the focus on the poetry and brilliance of the text. Most performances will take place on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings, encouraging participation by a wide range of Dallas’ theatrical artists and audiences alike.

“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” will have a limited capacity of 200 seats per performance. Tickets are available for all performances at www.attpac.org or by calling the Center’s Box Office at 214-880-0202. Tickets for all performances are only $10 each. Students with a valid ID may purchase tickets on a pay-what-you-can basis in person at the box office beginning one hour before each performance.
