As part of the partnership, Vimeo is now powering Wolfe Video’s digital storefront, WolfeOnDemand.com and electronic sell-through (EST) for WolfeVideo.com. Viewers can rent or buy titles directly on Wolfe’s sites through Vimeo’s transactional HD video player and watch on any connected device.

Available on Vimeo On Demand, “The Circle” is a gorgeous dramatization of gay lovers Ernst and Robi who meet in Zurich in 1958 against the backdrop of Der Kreis (“The Circle”), a pioneering gay organization and internationally renowned underground club.

The official Swiss selection for both the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes, this award-winning drama showcases the true story of Ernst and Robi, featuring interviews with the men (now in their 80s) along with stunning archival images and fascinating research into this incredible era in gay history. Starring Matthias Hungerbuhler and Sven Schelker as Ernst and Robi.

The massive selection of LGBT films available includes the latest popular new releases alongside such modern classics as “Desert Hearts” (Donna Deitch’s beloved lesbian romance); “Undertow” (the Sundance audience award winner about a married fisherman and his gay lover); “Cloudburst” (starring Oscar winners Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker as a lesbian couple on the run) and “I Am Divine” (the award-winning portrait of the iconic drag star, Divine).
