Tracee Bond Sits Down With John Travolta To Talk About His Latest Movie “Gotti”

Sitting across the room from John Travolta, I was totally mesmerized at how well preserved this icon appeared to be after forty years in the business.

Like many of us, even after witnessing the unequivocal role he played as John Gotti, my mind was still stuck on “Saturday Night Fever” and the young New Yorker who stole our hearts and minds with a few savvy dance moves.

In the role of John Gotti, Travolta’s depth, transparency, and diversification, as an actor, shines through from the beginning to the end. As he totally immerses himself in the heart, soul, and mind of John Gotti, in both his public and private persona, you are immediately consumed by the vulnerability of his gangster logic and lifestyle.

Listen in as the first recipient of Variety’s inaugural Cinema Icon Award tells what it means to be in this role, side by side with his wife, Kelly Preston, and how incredible it was to have the blessing of the Gotti family, guiding and directing him to yet another path of success.

“Gotti” opens in theaters June 15th
