Ballet barres will fill Flora Street and the AT&T Performing Arts Center campus for Big Barre, an outdoor ballet class for the masses, on Saturday morning, May 2nd. All levels of dancers experienced or not are welcome to participate. The class will be led by dancers from one of France’s premiere touring ballet companies, Malandain Ballet Biarritz, performing Cinderella May 1st and 2nd at Dallas City Performance Hall.
Anyone can participate. Whether this is your first class or if you are a seasoned dancer, experience an outdoor ballet class in the beautiful Dallas Arts District. Enjoy this and other free activities from our neighbors as part of the monthly First Saturday activities in the Arts District.
Open to the public, you can be a spectator or a participant – your choice! We recommend comfortable clothing (overalls, leggings), socks or sneakers, or shoes demi-pointe.
Class begins at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Winspear Opera House. Free parking is available for class attendees beneath the Winspear Opera House in Lexus Red Parking.
