“The Angry Birds Movie” Hatchlings Launch

Meet the Hatchlings, the lovable baby birds from “The Angry Birds Movie,” who will probably become your newest obsession. In this exclusive video, the fuzzy little birds, voiced by a group of children, wish you happy holidays with a song that’s desperately trying to be “Deck the Halls,” but doesn’t quite get there.

“The young children were brought in and we asked them to sing ‘Deck The Halls,'” producer John Cohen (“Despicable Me”) tells PEOPLE. “The good news for us was none of them knew the words.”

Their performances starts out confident, but quickly and adorably lose steam as the kids lose interest. “I don’t want to sing anymore,” one of the children interjects.

Based on the popular mobile video game, “The Angry Birds Movie” stars Jason Sudeikis as Red, a flightless bird with anger problem. Red is an outcast because he’s one of only a few angry birds on an island populated entirely by flightless, happy birds. When green piggies from a far-off island visit the island, it’s up to Red and three other angry birds to figure out what they’re planning.

The movie’s voice cast also includes Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Bill Hader,Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Keegan Michael-Key, Kate McKinnon and more.

“The Angry Birds Movie” hits theaters May 20th, 2016
