“T.J. Miller: Meticulously Ridiculous” Debuts On HBO June 17

Comedian, actor and voiceover artist T.J. Miller stars in his first HBO stand-up comedy special when T.J. MILLER: METICULOUSLY RIDICULOUS debuts SATURDAY, JUNE 17 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT). Taped at the Paramount Theater in his hometown of Denver, the special highlights the “Silicon Valley” star’s high-energy, unorthodox comedic observations on life, death and everything in-between.

The special will also be available on HBO On Demand, HBO NOW, HBO GO and affiliate portals.

Featuring a water-drenched Miller and plenty of audience interaction, the show offers his offbeat take on topics such as nightmares, the differences between marijuana and alcohol, his favorite historical figure and the challenges of talking about death.

“METICULOUSLY RIDICULOUS cracks open the eccentric mind of one of the most fearlessly weird comics today,” says Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president, HBO Programming.

The Chicago Tribune praised Miller for his “impressive (Chicago-honed) improvisational chops,” adding that “his surprisingly engaging set is meant as a big metaphor for life…like life, it’s rewarding and funny.”

A Second City alumnus, T.J. Miller made his comedy special debut with 2011’s “No Real Reason” on Comedy Central. He’s been named one of Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch,” as well as one of the “Next Big Things in Comedy” by Entertainment Weekly. Miller’s TV credits include a starring role in the Emmy®-winning and Golden Globe-nominated HBO series “Silicon Valley,” currently in its fourth season, for which he has received a Critics’ Choice Award; a guest appearance on Pete Holmes’ HBO series “Crashing”; and a starring role in the Comedy Central series “The Gorburger Show.” Miller’s film credits include “Office Christmas Party,” “Deadpool,” “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” “Big Hero 6” and “Yogi Bear 3D.” He also co-hosts the popular podcast Cashing in with T.J. Miller on Nerdist.

T.J. MILLER: METICULOUSLY RIDICULOUS is produced for HBO by Funny Or Die; executive produced by T.J. Miller, Dave Becky, Mike Berkowitz, Anna Wenger and Betsy Koch; directed by Jeff Tomsic; written by T.J. Miller.
