It was announced early this morning, that the name of the new James Bond movie will be titled “SPECTRE” and that the main Bond villain will be played by Oscar-winning actor and Quentin Tarantino favorite, Christoph Waltz. The film will also co-star Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista, Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci which will hit movie theaters on November 6th, 2015.
Director Sam Mendes, who directed Daniel Craig in his last outing, “Skyfall”, is returning to direct the new movie. For those familiar with the Bond mythology, “SPECTRE”, which stands for ‘Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion’, appeared in many of the earlier Bond movies and was headed by the decidedly nasty, bald and cat-loving, Ernst Stavro Blofeld as the organization’s leader.
He was played by different actors throughout the series including Telly Savalas, Donald Pleasance and Charles Gray. Daniel Craig will return as the British spy as well as Bond regulars, Q (Ben Whishaw), M (Ralph Fiennes) and Moneypenny (Naomie Harris). Christoph Waltz is rumored to play a man named Oberhauser but fans are not buying it, exclaiming that he will be playing the elusive Blofeld. Filming on the movie gets underway next Monday.
