Johnny Simmons is a talented young actor who has appeared in such movies as “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” and “Jennifer’s Body.” In his latest film, “The Phenom,” available now in select theaters, Video On Demand and Digital, Johnny plays the titular character, a talented young up-and-coming baseball pitcher who is struggling with the game and who winds up talking with a sports psychologist, where memories of his abusive father surface. I had the opportunity to speak with him recently about the movie, working with co-stars Paul Giamatti and Ethan Hawke, and on dealing with the paparazzi.
