HISTORY Joins Forces With Team Rubicon To Help Flood Relief Efforts In Texas

HISTORY® has teamed up with the nonprofit organization Team Rubicon to help flood relief efforts in Texas with “Operation Double Trouble”, which has deployed over 100 team members to Texas and plans to deploy 100 more. As part of the efforts, History will make a cash donation in support of “Operation Double Trouble” and has created a public service announcement to encourage others to contribute to help those affected by the storms. “After spending the last two years working on “Texas Rising,” which details the rise of Texas and the legendary Texas Rangers, we at HISTORY feel a special affinity to the state of Texas,” said Dirk Hoogstra, EVP and GM HISTORY. “Through our partnership with Team Rubicon we want to lend a helping hand to rebuild the communities affected by this devastation.”

“There is a lot of work to do to help those affected by the floods in Texas, but we are spurred on by the outpouring of support and generosity of these communities and our outstanding partners like the History,” said Jake Wood, CEO and Cofounder of Team Rubicon. “With History’s support, we’ll be able to deploy more of our veterans and first responder members to help Texans recover from these floods.”

Team Rubicon’s efforts in Texas include volunteer management, sawyer (chainsaw) operations, muck outs, damage assessment and debris management, in coordination with state and local authorities. History supports Team Rubicon as part of the Mission to Honor campaign to highlight the many ways veterans served in uniform and then continue to serve through important civic efforts including disaster relief and community outreach.
