HBO Latino To Premiere Exclusive Concert “J Balvin: Bruuttal” On September 8

Multiple Latin Grammy® winner J Balvin will bring the energía when his filmed live concert “J Balvin: Bruuttal” premieres Friday, September 8th at 8 PM ET/ 7 PM CT on HBO LATINO®. This one-of-a kind anniversary show, produced and distributed by Eagle Rock Entertainment, was created to express deep gratitude to his fans. J Balvin fills the stage with reggaeton legends to take the audience through a musical journey of his earliest songs and biggest hits, culminating with his most recent, multi-platinum album, Energía.

In this exclusive HBO Latino® concert, the chart-topping Colombian reggaeton singer performs his smash #1 Billboard Latin hits such as “Safari,” “6 AM” featuring Farruko, “Ay Vamos,” “Ginza,” “Bobo,” and more, giving HBO viewers a night to remember. The exciting concert will also be available on HBO On Demand, HBO GO, HBO NOW and affiliate portals.

“J Balvin: Bruuttal” takes place in his hometown of Medellín and features an all-star lineup of 17 of today’s most popular Latino artists including urban music legends Nicky Jam, Yandel, Farruko, Zion y Lennox, Jowell y Randy among others. He describes this concert as one of the most important shows in his career because it’s his way of giving back to his devoted fan base. “J Balvin’s energizing reggaeton style is a vibrant addition to the concerts debuting on HBO Latino this summer. Balvin’s recent album Energía won “Best Urban Album” and his single “Ay Vamos” snagged the award for “Best Urban Song” at the Latin Grammy Awards. Plus, his track with Willy William, “Mi Gente,” is currently #1 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 list. His chart-topping “Ginza,” has been recognized by Guinness World Records for “The Longest stay at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart ever by a single artist.” (22 weeks).

J Balvin will join the ranks of the elite group of HBO Latino Concerts subjects, which include Carlos Santana (Live it to Believe it, Live From Mexico), Thalia (Viva Tour En Vivo), Romeo Santos (The King Stays King),Yandel (De Líder a Leyenda), Reik (En Vivo Desde El Auditorio Nacional), Carlos Varela (The Poet of Havana), Alejandro Sanz (Sirope Vivo), Victor Manuelle (Que Suenen Los Tambores), Juanes (The Juanes Effect and Mis Planes Son Amarte) and Pedro Capó (En Letra De Otro).
