In the wake of a disaster that wipes out most of civilization, two men and a young woman find themselves in an emotionally charged love triangle as the last known survivors.
The movie is based on the post-apocalyptic science-fiction novel by Robert C. O’Brien that was published posthumously in 1974. Set in the USA, the story is in the form of a diary written from the first-person perspective of sixteen-year-old Ann Burden, who has survived a nuclear war and nerve gas through living in a small valley with a self-contained weather system.
The movie stars Chris Pine (“Star Trek”), Chiwetel Ejiofor (“12 Years A Slave”) and Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) and hits theaters later this year.
