“Fast & Furious 7” Gets A New Title, Teaser Trailer & Release Date

fast

When “The Fast and the Furious” was released back in 2001, I doubt Universal Pictures would have thought for one second, that the movie would spawn five highly successful sequels with the latest one in post-production, scheduled for release next year. With most successful film series’, each entry typically becomes less and less lucrative but this is not the case here.

The series’ last installment, “Fast & Furious 6”, made over $300 million worldwide and the numbers keep getting bigger. With the sad loss of actor Paul Walker last November in an unfortunate, ironic car accident, production on “Furious 7” was shut down to give the filmmakers time to try and figure out how they would proceed without one of the film’s lead actors.

Since Mr. Walker had shot most of his scenes, save a few cutaways and long shots, the production asked Mr. Walker’s lookalike brothers, Caleb and Cody if they would help finish the movie and they agreed. With the movie now in post-production, Universal Pictures have released the following statement:

“Because of our fans, our saga has grown bigger and better with every chapter. In just 7 days, we will reveal the first trailer for our next installment – FURIOUS 7 – at The Road to Furious 7: Trailer Launch Event at Universal Studios in Los Angeles!

I personally enjoyed the series overall, with parts 5 and 6 being my personal favorites.

“Furious 7” will be released on April 3rd, 2015
