DVD Review: “SIX: Season 2” Is Straight From The Source And That Is What Makes It So Good

After an explosive Season One finale, “SIX” follows our team of SEALs as they deal with the aftermath of Rip’s shooting while hunting down the terror group responsible for the attack.

The level of acting in this show great and it is obvious that this show has a tremendous technical support from the special operations community. It also takes into account the personal demons that these SEALS encounter both on the battlefield and at home. You also encounter how engaged the combat scenes are along with the struggle of raising a family.

It is my understanding that special operations soldiers have the highest divorce rate in the US military, so I was glad they do not sugarcoat this aspect. SEALS are deployed so often and around the world, that what it takes to perform and stay at the highest level for special operations and stay there, takes a toll on everyone. The public has had this image in their minds that our warriors are unflawed and stand on the moral high ground in every situation is simply unrealistic. “SIX” does a fantastic job of portraying these soldiers in a realistic way.

The action/combat scenes were done well and the music highlights the situation. With season 2, there are 10 episodes included on the DVD. The show is inspired by real missions and the show does a great job of capturing the feel of what it is like to be on the inside of such an elite team. This is straight from the source and that is what makes this show so good.
