Director Chris von Hoffmann Talks About His Latest Movie “Drifter,” And Making Independent Films

The upcoming post-apocalyptic horror/thriller “Drifter,” which hits theaters Friday, February 24th, and VOD & iTunes Tuesday, February 28th, follows a pair of outlaw brothers (Drew Harwood and Aria Emory) who seek temporary refuge in a desolate town inhabited by a family of psychotic cannibalistic lunatics, with nods to Tobe Hooper’s “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” Wes Craven’s “The Hills Have Eyes,” and George Miller’s “Mad Max.” I recently had the opportunity to talk with the film’s co-writer and director, Chris von Hoffmann, where we spoke about the inspiration for his feature film directorial debut, and making independent films in general.
